The Bluegrass Gay Phonebook, a telephone style directory publication has been launched for the Lexington and Central Kentucky area. The publication will be a directory for gay and gay-friendly businesses, service providers and community groups in the Lexington area. The Bluegrass GYP will be the sister publication to the Kentuckiana Gay Phonebook, which serves the Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana area.

The Bluegrass Gay Phonebook hopes to successfully pick up where The Pink Pages left off, and provide a quality community resource for the Lexington area via its hardcopy edition and matching web site. The Bluegrass GYP will donate 10% of its gross sales to the GLSO Pride Center.

The deadline for the premiere issue is August 8, 2008 and the premiere issue will hit the streets on September 19, 2008.The hardcopy directory will be printed in full color on a glossy paper stock and be distributed freely in the Lexington area. A total of 7,500 copies will be printed. The directory will also feature a matching web site with an online directory, bar guide and other community-based information.
